About the role:

Reporting to the General Manager Europe, you will be responsible for ensuring financial objectives are met. You need to be a hands-on leader, capable of establishing strong relationships with distributors in the region with the main focus being Germany. You will develop our brands and support the integration and launch of new products, maximising growth opportunities.

Main Responsibilities and Duties:

  • Establishing a local presence, equipping each affiliate according to the local legislation, local authority requirements, the local business/distribution model, and pave the way for future developments
  • Taking responsibility for the profitable development of the regional business:
    • Identifying and exploiting the best GTM Strategy (at TA/Country level), either with direct local presence or through partners
    • Maximising the potential sales and profit growth of the existing product portfolio, by devising and implementing post-patent brand strategies
    • Optimising geographical and product presence in each territory and identifying product ideas that would complement or enhance the existing portfolio
    • Feeding into pipeline new business generation, and maintaining high engagement with local partners to further develop the business
    • Leading the successful launch of new products developed by the in-house New Product Development team
    • Overseeing the on-boarding of new product acquisitions
  • Managing and driving strong business relationships with distributors and partners, providing strategic direction for Pharmanovia's products in the DACH Region:
    • Partner selection, contract negotiations, active alliance management
    • P&R, market access, marketing, promotion initiatives
    • Supply & tender management
    • Sales monitoring and analysis
  • Supporting the wider business:
    • Working closely with all internal departments to optimise the continuity of supply of products, providing volume sales forecasts, monitoring stock, identifying and capturing opportunities, correcting / preventing supply disruption
    • Interfacing externally, monitoring any change in the environment (legislation, P&R, competition, etc) and work with partners to identify new opportunities and tactics
  • Provide timely business updates and performance reviews:
    • Preparing and agreeing realistic but ambitious budgets and forecasts
    • Actively managing partners with performance reviews (marketing and sales strategy, sales performances, SFE, brand campaign, etc) as well as ensuring adherence to Code of Conduct/ESG norms
    • Ensuring accurate and timely submissions of reports and budgets for the region
  • Representing Pharmanovia to key stakeholders within the region including Health Authorities, Key Opinion Leaders and Payers
  • Preparation of monthly reports, annual budgets and LRP

About you:

You will be an experienced pharmaceutical professional, with a background in sales, marketing, alliance, and distributor management in the DACH Region. You enjoy getting involved with the business at all levels and across all disciplines, in a global matrix organisation. We are also looking for:

  • Entrepreneurial and results-driven, with a proven track record of managing a regional business within specialty pharma
  • Hands-on experience in managing partners and distributors and their teams in the DACH region
  • Extensive hands-on experience in Germany a must.
  • International experience and local expertise, cultural versatility
  • Brand management, product lifecycle management and product launch expertise, especially in the context of specialty products
  • Data-driven decision-maker able to analyse complex situations, focusing on the key issues
  • Business-driven, experienced in financial and profit & loss analysis and reporting
  • Scientific expertise and understanding of the therapeutic medical needs in the region
  • Highly experienced in developing and implementing GTM and Sales Strategy, ideally in the context of branded generics and/or specialty products
  • Excellent communication and influencing skills
  • Pragmatic, professional and able to maintain high levels of confidentiality
  • A 'can-do' attitude, efficient, and able to work cross-functionally and persuasively
  • Approachable, with a helpful and flexible attitude
