Associate Architect Job in Portishead Somerset

This successful Architectural practice has an Associate Architect job available to take a lead role in the technical department working on residential and retirement living projects. The role would suit a technically focused Architect looking to make the step up to associate level.

Founded over 40 years ago and currently employing over 60 staff, my client has found great commercial success in largescale residential and retirement projects. They currently employ an award-winning team of architects, urban designers, technologists, graphic designers and sustainability consultants, and their awards include "Housing Design Award" and "Design Quality Award".

This role would suit an experienced Architect with management experience.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Take a lead role in the management of the technical team
  • Production of working drawings and technical documents
  • Monitoring of deadlines, workloads, times scales and compliance
  • Carrying out employee reviews
  • Working directly with clients.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A Minimum of 10 years post qualification experience
  • Experience in working with or for large UK housing developers
  • Knowledge of UK building regulations
  • Experience in managing a small team
  • Proficient in the use of AutoCAD
  • Experience in using Revit would be beneficial
  • Full Uk driving licence would be essential
  • Strong knowledge of the UK planning process
  • Good knowledge of the UK housing sector with an ability to win work for the company.
