Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire
Contract: Full time
Responsibilities
As Senior Quantity Surveyor you'll be working within the quantity surveying team, supporting them in, carrying out all aspects of commercial control on the contract, including value engineering, estimating, negotiating prices, identifying and agreeing the value of additional works, interim valuations, final accounts and the production/management of contractual documentation.
Your day to day will include:
- Proactively inputting to the development of the business team aiding senior management and project teams in the delivery of business objectives and goals, and commercial management of schemes during the construction phase and final account reconciliation
- Agreeing prices with Shropshire Council, analysing scheme costs and providing commercial guidance and assistance
- Working closely with operations and design teams ensuring details are accurate and sufficient whilst helping to achieve project delivery forecasts
This role of Senior Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you can:
- Show an industry specific degree or qualification
- Analyse scheme financial data
- Demonstrate good leadership and interpersonal skills
