Location: This is an agile role offering home working with travel required to offices and sites in Kent and south East
Contract: Permanent, full time.
Responsibilities
We are currently recruiting for an Environmental Advisor to assist our local business unit to deliver our challenging Building for a Sustainable World strategy, remains compliant with all environmental legislation and to have accountability for the delivery of environmental support and assist in the conformity with Kier environmental management systems. The role focuses on supporting the planning and delivery of environmental sustainability risk management for projects and facilitating the implementation of the Kier Group Sustainability framework
Your day to day will include:
- Input into pre-qualification responses and provide tender support for bids
- Review pre-construction information to evaluate environmental sustainability risks and opportunities
- Work with pre-construction and project team to deliver sustainable outcomes and manage environmental risk
- You'll require demonstrable experience working as an Environmental Advisor or similar role and a degree within an Environmental sustainability discipline is preferred
- You must be an IEMA Practitioner or hold a relevant level of membership from a professional body
- You'll have previous experience of providing project environmental sustainability support, including compliance management and ideally will have worked to deliver sustainability schemes such as BREEAM/DREAM/CEEQUAL.
