This registered charity and not for profit organisation is on the look out for a Recovery worker.
Working under the direction of the Team Leader the post holder will play a pivotal role within the Service enabling service users to build on their progress with the treatment services and develop their wider recovery capital and move towards a sustained recovery and independence. This post will be based in Skegness.
You will deliver, bespoke recovery planning, assessments, beneficiary supervisions, reviews and personal development planning.
You will work in a strengths-based way with a caseload of individuals to provide support and motivation around the aims and objectives set out within their Recovery and Personal Development Plans.
The role requires the facilitation/delivery of a range of non-accredited personal development groups (training provided).
The post holder will be responsible for the accurate and timely recording and inputting of client data in line with our contractual obligations.
Your knowledge of our partner agencies, community organisations and recovery communities will ensure our beneficiaries benefit from the resources and opportunities available to them both locally and on-line.
Key Responsibilities:
* Convey a warm and positive outlook to all our beneficiaries.
* Have an ambitious attitude for all our service users and what people can achieve in recovery.
* Carry out assessments of service users and facilitate the design of individually tailored recovery plans.
* Champion the benefits and possibilities of 'abstinent' based recovery.
* Be the recovery coordinator for a caseload of individuals.
* Utilising mapping tools such as the 'Recovery Cloud' (training provided) to enable people to identify their personal and community assets that can support their ongoing progression.
* Facilitate a range of recovery themed groups.
* Be aware of risk and safeguarding concerns in line with Double Impact's policy and procedures.
* To promote service user/student involvement and feedback.
* To ensure that all aspects of confidentiality and risk management are adhered to.
* To recognise personal and professional boundaries and work within the code of conduct
Education & Experience
* Relevant experience of working with people in the drugs and alcohol treatment/recovery fields
* Level 3 Diploma in Health & Social Care (Desirable)
* Excellent IT skills and ideally experience of recording information on data base systems
* Understanding of drug and alcohol addiction and the Treatment/Recovery thereof.
* Knowledge or personal experience of abstinent based recovery models
* Understanding the benefits of mutual aid
* Manage a caseload and workload effectively and efficiently.
* Have a professional, empathetic and non-judgmental attitude towards people
