We're looking for a Senior Parking & Traffic Regulation Order Officer to join our Highways Team based in Northampton. Responsibilities

As a Senior Parking & Traffic Regulations Order Officer, you'll be working within the Asset & professional Services section to hold a key post in leading a small team ensuring delivery of all Traffic Regulation Orders and Parking Improvement schemes within Northamptonshire.

Your day to day will include:

  • Implement and oversee a process that ensures that the road network operates effectively in accordance with, and strictly in line with relevant legislation and Council policy.
  • Ensure that traffic management, parking schemes and supporting traffic regulation orders are progressed legally and on time.
  • You'll also advise planning officers with regards to the provision of parking restrictions in relation to new development. This role also includes drafting and processing regulation orders and related statutory notices under the various sections of the Road Traffic Regulation Act 1984 and other relevant legislation.

This role of Senior Parking & Traffic Order Officer is great for you if you have:

  • Experience in Traffic Engineering, Traffic Regulation Orders and Parking Schemes
  • Sector 12D Traffic Management Card Holder
  • IOSH - Managing Safety Certificate
