We're looking for an experienced site professional to join our established team as Project Manager. You will be responsible for the controlled delivery of plot completions, to agreed timescales and costs using appropriate resources in the most efficient manner. This role is perfect for a dynamic individual who has proven experience working with subcontractors and the supply chain, who has experience collaborating with commercial teams to manage site prelims and CTC.

Main Responsibilities

  • Overall responsibility for the successful safe completion of the project: quality, time, procurement, sales interface and to lead by example
  • Drive delivery of continuous safety improvements
  • Responsible for the safety and welfare of the general public, staff and supply chain within their control under the strict observance of the Gleeson Group safety policy
  • Encourage and coach team members to develop their skills, giving regular feedback and providing challenging learning experiences
  • Strategically produce and regularly review the project programme
  • Manage liaisons, interfaces and contacts with customers and stakeholders such that positive and ongoing customer relationships are maintained
  • Responsible for maintaining construction budgets on their project and making sure project construction costs are controlled with no compromise to quality, health and safety or customer service to achieve profit targets
  • Playing a key role in the customer first customer journey
  • Responsible for ensuring the delivery of quality homes in line with the agreed project programmes, planning and co-ordinating all suppliers and trades to make sure they deliver in line with the critical path, identifying slippage and developing action plans to ensure programme time is recovered
  • Works in line with site plans and strategy to ensure the project is executed in line with the site commercial budget
  • Implement industry best practice and innovations across their project and work with external bodies such as SSUK & NHBC, to create better, safer and more cost-effective ways of working
  • To work collaboratively with internal teams, including Sales, Technical, Customer Service, Commercial & Procurement

Ideal Candidate

  • Proven experience working with sub-contractors and the supply chain
  • Competent in all Microsoft packages, especially Excel in order to produce weekly and monthly reports and to track production in line with the build programme
  • Experience collaborating with a commercial team to manage the CTC and the site prelims (cost saving)
  • Ability to manage project risk and opportunities effectively, taking responsibility for the identification, allocation, and management of the project's risks
  • Experience in taking effective mitigation measures to reduce risk
