Job Title: Managing Quantity Surveyor
Location: Inverness and Aberdeen, Scotland
Business area: Kier Construction - Build Northern & Scotland
Contract: Full time, permanent, Monday to Friday - We're able to consider part time working, please state in your application.
Key responsibilities
As a Managing Quantity Surveyor, you will be overseeing the commercial resources and project teams on the assigned project, using your commercial expertise and wealth of knowledge you will maximise the cash-flow and margin as well as assessing, reviewing and mitigating commercial and contractual risks, implanting Kier Group's policies for risk management.
The role will be closely aligned to large new build projects in the area so will require an individual who can be based on site at key times to maintain financial control of projects up to £60M in value.
What do we need from you?

You will be an experienced Senior Quantity Surveyor with demonstrable track record in managing the commercial management of projects within Main Contracting organisations. You will have knowledge and experience in delivering NHS, Education, MOD, Commercial projects under NEC contract conditions and will demonstrate leadership qualities to lead more junior staff in developing and maximising their potential.
You will have a relevant qualification in Quantity Surveying (Degree or equivalent) couples with the correct level of career experience to take on a senior role within a tier 1 Main Contractor.
