Procurement Coordinator

We are currently seeking a Procurement Coordinator. Reporting to the Procurement Manager, the successful candidate will support the Procurement Team and wider Finance function in setting up and managing operational activity for suppliers/contractors, as well as ongoing compliance checks. This is an essential role which ensures the Breedon supply base is well managed for risk and compliance, and the procurement team are able to quickly extract key supplier information and contracts.

Key Responsibilities:

* Supplier set up:

  • Coordinate new supplier requests from the wider business
  • Liaising with Alcumus Safe Contractor ensuring all the relevant compliance documentation stored on the portal is kept up to date.
  • Ensuring supplier onboarding checks (e.g. Alcumus Safe Contractor registered) are completed
  • Help improve efficiencies on value suppliers and mitigate risk within the supply chain
  • * Coordinating and managing supplier queries

    * Supporting suppliers/contractors with P2P processes coordinating between the supplier/contractor, relevant Procurement Managers, and the Accounts Payable function

    * Procurement Team reporting - support board and steering committee updates on spend, cost saving tracker working capital from supplier/contractor database

    * Co-ordinating with Breedon Legal Team on contracts pipeline - lead weekly calls to review and prioritise legal support for supplier contracts

    * Co-ordinating all supplier communications on key Breedon policy updates or document changes

    * Contract database management - ongoing data checks and validation for contracts data; uploading key contract terms and signed contracts into database

    * Updating of key procurement templates and business documents ensuring document control is maintained

    * Manage filing and storage of all required documentation for annual audits and assist with any information requests where required

    * Category purchasing support (ad hoc) and cost tracking of relevant indices (e.g. fuel price tracking)

    * Preparation of documentation for Procurement Managers where requested such as Invitation to Tender (RFQ/RFI),Requests For Information and any associated administration

    * Distribute Procurement updates to the business as and when required including Procurement intranet page management, Procurement Policy and any other relevant ad hoc updates on Procurement Team.

    * Manage PPE/Workwear, Stationary and Packaging categories with the support of the Procurement Managers where required

    Skills & Experience required:

    * Experience of working within a team and with stakeholders numerous stakeholders including Senior Managers

    * Ability to develop strong working relationships with internal and external stakeholders

    * Experience of working in Procurement or supply chain in a similar commercial role

    * Analytical skills with intermediate knowledge of Excel and MS Office

    * Appetite for rapid learning and continuous improvement

    * Strong communication and co-ordination skills

    * Very strong organisational skills and ability to balance competing priorities to achieve tight deadlines

    * Strong analytical skills (strong Excel capabilities advantageous)
