The DE function within Crown House provides the capability to fully engineer projects before commencing work on site. This ensures an optimised engineered solution, technical excellence, maximised use of offsite products, reduced waste and enhanced delivery efficiency. All our engineers are part of our Engineering Enterprise and aligned with our overall strategy to maximise DfMA, Digital Engineering, and Early Engagement.

Responsibilities:

  • Support the delivery of MEP Digital Engineering objectives
  • Work closely with Senior and Lead Digital Engineers to deliver key agendas, innovative ideas, new technologies and delivery of project workloads
  • Support work winning teams with models, methods and coordination
  • Deliver models for off-site manufactured installations
  • Lead Digital Engineering delivery and contribute towards continuous improvement of digital capabilities
  • Build and establish collaborative working relationships with internal and external partners within and outside of Digital Engineering

Skills and knowledge:

  • Understanding of BIM level 2 requirements and above
  • Produce 3D models and drawings in accordance with UK standards
  • Understanding of BIM libraries and British standards
  • Add asset data to models using Revit and Excel
  • Knowledge of MEP services and installations
  • Ability to coordinate MEP services with building fabric at a high level
  • Ability to produce drawing to the standard defined by BSRIA BG6 as 4b
  • Ability to author and interrogate complex 3D models using Revit MEP and Navisworks with responsibility for own package/section of project.

Desired Technical Knowledge

  • Good exposure and working knowledge of CADduct or FabMEP
  • Ability to use Revit software
  • Knowledge of Navisworks is desirable
  • Knowledge of BEP's, LOD requirements and clash detection
