Contracts Manager - UK Power Networks

Location: Your base is flexible but you'll be required to travel to offices and sites within the Southern Power Network and possibly in the future to Norfolk

This role is an exciting opportunity to join an established team on a long-term collaborative Alliance agreement between Kier, UK-Power Networks, Morrison and Clancy. The ED1SON Alliance is charged with delivering a £1bn programme in the 2016-2023 ED1 regulatory period. Kier has been appointed to undertake cable, overhead line and substation infrastructure projects across the Southern and Eastern Power Networks regions. Project values typically range from £500k to £10m.

Responsibilities

As Contracts Manager you'll report into the Framework Manager with the Utilities UK Power Network team, supporting them to deliver projects that are essential to the communities we serve.


Your day to day will include:


  • Monitoring and controlling the contracts, ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance in accordance with Kier's Operating Framework, Project Lifecycle Management, and IMS.
  • Ensuring that contract documents are accurate and well maintained and maintain excellent working relationships with clients to ensure their needs are met.
  • Identify opportunities to improve contractual processes and devise plans to implement these, ensuring projects are programmed in P6 to a level of detail necessary for operational teams to deliver the projects and remain contractually compliant.
  • You will ensure and oversee the production of progress reports, updated costs and forecasts and ensure the correct engagement of subcontractors, reviewing monthly CVRs with project teams and implementing any necessary action.
Who are we looking for?


This role of Contracts Manager is great for you if you:

  • Hold relevant qualifications and have experience in a similar environment with excellent people and contract management skills
  • You will have full understanding of current Health & Safety Legislation, including HSWA and CDM Regulations
  • Have excellent NEC3 contractual and commercial awareness
