There is an exciting opportunity to join Bellway, one of the UK’s largest house builders. Our Head Office, located in Newcastle upon Tyne is looking to recruit an Senior Architectural Technician to join the Division’s Technical department. The Role The role of Senior Architectural Technician reports to the Group Head of Design. Principle accountabilities of the role include: Preparation of construction packages, details and specifications. Working alongside external consultants and suppliers to complete a full tender package for the commercial, construction, sales and marketing team to work with Liaise with the NHBC Building Control department. Support the upkeep of the standard house type range, specifications and details as well as suggesting improvements for future packages and providing technical assistance to the team as required. Attend site-based meetings as and when required. Keep up to date with CDM and CPD responsibilities specific to the role. Maintain up to date with legislation and regulations as well as have an understanding of future regulations that are coming into effect within the industry. Assist the development and training of other more junior members of the Architectural side of the Technical department. Experience, Qualifications and Skills Experience Experience of working in an equivalent Architectural role within the housebuilding sector or an Architectural Practice with experience of working on residential projects. Ability to be able to express technical information in a clear and concise manner. Qualifications and Training Good working knowledge of AutoCAD Skills and Aptitude Effective communication and listening skills Excellent attention to detail Good administration skills Works effectively to deadlines and competently works on multiple tasks simultaneously Demonstrate a creative flair and innovative approach to development layouts.
