We have an exciting opportunity for a Structural Technician to join our experienced multi discipline property and construction consultancy in Birmingham. You will strengthen our team and the overall discipline which includes over 100 Civil & Structural engineers across our UK offices.

We have an excellent and growing client base including F1 teams, automotive manufacturers, leading Universities, developers, schools and colleges, and local authorities.

This opportunity is ideal for someone with experience of a similar role within a design office and is looking to develop their skills further and take on greater responsibility. We will provide training and support to build on your existing knowledge and experience with a view to gaining chartered TIStructE status.

Role and Responsibilities of Structural Technician role

  • Production of drawings and technical information using both AutoCAD and REVIT platforms
  • Produce detailing in structural steelwork, concrete and masonry
  • Delivering a variety of information including GA's, sections, details, and 3D models
  • Working within company BIM protocols and standards within defined project timescale
  • Liaising with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the Ridge design is fully co-ordinated


Experience & skills required for Structural Technician
You will have excellent attention to detail and take pride in providing quality work, have good communication skills, and be proactive and motivated to achieve set goals and targets.

  • ONC, HNC or equivalent in building structures or civil engineering
  • Proven experience of UK structural engineering design office experience
  • Proficient in the use of Revit Structure and AutoCAD
  • Experience of new build in structural steelwork, reinforced concrete, masonry, and timber
