We're looking for a Utilities Supervisor to join our team working in the Redruth region. Within this role, we will provide you with a Company van for travel. You can enjoy progression opportunities, the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects of all sizes and complexities and even more!

Location: Redruth- with regular travel to surrounding sites so we'd love to hear from you if you also live in Bodmin or St Austell

Contract: Permanent, full time

Responsibilities

Kier Utilities brings the built environment to life, keeping people and businesses connected.

In this role, you will be working on our National Grid Electricity Distribution (NGED) contract, where we work on maintaining the client electricity distribution network across the chosen area.

As Utilities Supervisor, you will play a vital role in managing the team responsible for all stages of excavation works on site and aspects of digging & lay on the electricity networks.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Supporting the Local Agent in the delivery of the daily activities in setting teams to work
  • Responsible for a team of Operatives, ensuring they have the required tools and equipment to perform the planned and fault works
  • Manage and inspect the plant, as well as order and manage materials
  • Plan, manage and coordinate safety audits, incidents and investigations.
  • Liaise and communicate with the client, customers, and local authorities
Who are we looking for?

This role of Utilities Supervisor is great for you if:

  • You hold experience within the utility sector supervising a team
  • Hold NRSWA qualification / SSSTS preferably at supervisory level, however if not we'll help you obtain this
  • Full Driving Licence
  • Basic I.T skills
