We're looking for a Section Engineer to join our Oxford Station team based in Oxford, Oxfordshire. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Section Engineer, you'll be working within the Oxford Station team, to manage the technical compliance to design specification and meet the required quality, time, and safety standards of the project (section).

Your day to day will include:

  • You will manage the preparation of as-built drawings and manage systems to enable progress of work.
  • You'll provide engineering support to make sure technical issues are resolved and will be responsible for setting out works. The Section Engineer will be responsible for managing the recording and testing of workmanship and materials.
  • You'll regularly check the setting out points and ensure all setting out works are delivered to site with mandatory certification.
What do we need from you?

This role of Section Engineer is great for you if:

  • You'll have a proactive approach to work, with knowledge and experience of the main management systems (preferrable in a Network Rail setting or experience in a similar role).
  • You'll have the ability to be positive and be able to work well in a team.
  • You will need to have good organisational skills and have the ability to be a problem solver with good commercial and contractual awareness.
  • Hold a valid UK driving license and you'll be qualified to degree standard or equivalent and must have firm people/project management.
