Responsibilities
As a Track Engineer, you'll be working within the Oxford Station team, supporting with the multi-discipline station upgrade which will increase the station capacity by constructing an additional platform and associated track through the existing operational station.
Your day to day will include:
- Strong knowledge of Track engineering with an understanding of NWR and wider industry practices, so you can manage works in compliance with the NWR technical specifications, procedures and standards
- Surveying, planning and programming of work across Oxford Station, providing technical supervision on site and performing Safety Inspections and preparation of appropriate documents
- Commercial awareness of the developments in Track processes, products and practices
- Good knowledge of Track Renewals Disciplines
- PTS and COSS qualifications
This role of Track Engineer is great for you if:
- You will have a relevant qualification (Management qualification / NVQ L3 / HNC / Degree).
- You'll have knowledge and experience of the main management systems and processes used within a similar business, preferably in a Network Rail or comparable setting.
- You'll have a commercial and contractual awareness.
- You will have the ability to liaise in a professional manner with Client, Client Representatives, General Public.
- You'll have experience in a similar role.
