An outstanding planning consultancy in the UK is seeking a professional to sit in their London office to lead relationships with their clients and work on an enviable list of property developers, utilities, and energy companies, as well as public sector clients on nationally significant projects.
This is a great opportunity for a planning or urban design professional as you will lead the management of various projects, including maintaining positive client relationships. Contribution to new business through support to the Director team.
Due to a growing pipeline of work, they are growing their team, and need a Consultant, a Senior Consultant, and an Associate Consultant.
What you will do
- Provide strategic planning advice to clients on national significant major projects
- Be the first point of contact on a range of projects
- Understand the political landscape in relation to the location of the projects
- Establish, or have existing relationships within local planning departments and local authorities
- Attend networking events on behalf of the consultancy
- Identify new business opportunities
- Support in the growth and management of the team including business planning
- Build positive relationships within the business and across teams
About you
You will need to have a background in planning, urban design, environment, and/or development
In depth knowledge of planning in the Greater London area
Political understanding concerning planning issues
Client facing experience
Excellent communication skills with the ability to positively influence MPs, planners, and clients
Team management experience
