Location: Based out of our Leeds office with some travel to other offices and sites
Business Area: Kier Places - Housing Maintenance - Repairs contracts
Contract & hours: Permanent, full time - Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week
Kier Places are now recruiting for a Contracts Manager to join our experienced, dynamic & passionate Housing Maintenance team on our portfolio of Repairs & Voids Housing Association contracts, to play an instrumental role to our continued success by taking full responsibility for delivering a high performing repairs and maintenance service. You'll be supporting the delivery to agreed targets & requirements in cost-effective manner, whilst complying with all health & safety, compliance, legislation, standards, policies, and procedures.
Our contracts are primarily Repairs & Voids contracts covering all of London, and you'll spearhead our ability to win future repeat & business through operating a first-class workstream and obtaining the highest level of customer satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities
This is your opportunity for the taking today. As a Contracts Manager with Kier, you'll effectively lead decision-making on supervising, planning, organising, and deploying of resources on work streams including projects, programmed repairs, maintenance, adaptations, FRA and void works; and be seen as subject matter expert for all Repairs & Maintenance activity associated with Health and Safety compliance, demand and capacity planning, customer satisfaction, field operations and performance management of the workforce.
Working collaboratively, you'll support our continued success by owning performance management; proactively mixing tried & tested and new ways of working to deliver our continuous improvement targets; develop and maintain relationships with internal and external stakeholders including colleagues, management & leadership, clients, suppliers, subcontractors, and the general public; lead, coach and develop supervisors and other colleagues; but just as importantly, be a visible and proactive leader across the business.

Service Delivery and Quality is at the heart of this role. You'll ensure works are completed safely, within the specified timeframe and to full standard; ensure that the operating budget delivers to business expectations; ensure cost-effective allocation of resources; ensure high standard of service delivery of self-delivered and subcontracted works; monitor Work in Progress (WIP); ensure Client complaints are dealt with and responded to appropriately; attend local client meetings and working groups as required; assist the commercial team with the cost-effective procurement of materials and subcontractors; and identify opportunities for contract improvement/expansion, and financial performance.
What do we need from you?

Alongside relevant qualifications and training (SMSTS, IOSH, CSCS, etc.), you'll should also have background in Domestic Gas, Heating or Electrical Engineering, and/or good knowledge of Compliance relating to Housing Maintenance. You'll need to be a strong user of Excel and have experience with a similar CAFM or work order management system to our in-house system, FSI Concept Evolution.
