Highways Maintenance experience preferred but not essential, full training provided.
Location: Maidstone, Eastbourne, Ashford/Folkestone
Business Area: Highways
Contract & hours: Permanent 4 on 4 off, 12-hour shifts, days and nights on a rota basis
Salary: 30K - 40K (weekly paid) + package
Key Responsibilities
- Required to carry out emergency response operations and install traffic management where required, carry out depot operations, maintenance and improvement works and support severe weather operations.
- Carry out routine maintenance and repairs to the network as required, using plant and equipment, provided relevant training has been received.
- Actively promote Health and Safety in the workplace, setting a good example to other employees and ensuring awareness of and compliance with general Health and Safety responsibilities as set out in the Health and Safety Management System.
- To liaise with National Highways at the scene of road traffic incidents and to work with them to clear the scene as quickly as possible.
- Capable of working under pressure within a safety critical role
- Full driving licence
