We're looking for a Bid Writer to join our team on bids. Within this role, you can enjoy exposure to exciting projects, agile working, progressions opportunities and even more.

Location: Flexible working available, where you will be based out of our Sheffield office 2-3 days per week, with home working available

Contract & hours: Permanent, full time, Monday to Friday, 40 hours per week

Responsibilities

As a Bid Writer, you'll contribute to the planned and sustained business growth of Kier Places by creating compelling, quality content for submissions, and proactively support subject matter experts in the bidding process including guidance on writing and content.

Your day to day will include:

  • Leading & coordinating storyboard sessions to develop tailored content & responses to PQQs
  • Assist in the innovation of sharing & presenting information; and applying client bid feedback to future responses to drive continuous improvement.
  • Re-working proposal responses from a variety of internal stakeholders & colleagues, such as operations, commercial, legal & HR; and deliver completed proposal responses to agreed deadlines.
Due to the nature of this role & industry, you'll need to understand and apply public procurement legislation and other relevant policies to written responses.

Who are we looking for?

This role of Bid Writer is great for you if you:

  • Have a professional writing background, degree related to English Language, and bid writing / management experience
  • Have advanced MS Word & Office skills, and be proficient in desktop publishing & design software such as Adobe InDesign
  • Have a passion and understanding for sustainability, the environment & social value, and have an understanding of funding applications for decarbonisation in social housing
