Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineer

Location: Speke, Liverpool - This is an agile role where you will be predominantly based out of the Speke Office with partial home working available and will require some travel to Client offices and project sites.

Business Area: Kier Design & Business Services - an autonomous and externally facing multi-discipline design consultancy within the wider Kier group.

Contract: Permanent; full time or part time (please specify in your application).

We are currently looking to recruit Senior Mechanical Building Services Design Engineers to join our established multi-D team in our Liverpool (Speke) office.

The successful individual will ideally hold a Degree or HND in Building Services Engineering plus significant experience demonstrating appropriate ability to fulfil the accountabilities of the role. Able to work to tight timescales and budgets with minimal supervision, you will be technically competent to develop Mechanical building services engineering design solutions and provide coordinated solutions for major new builds, refurbishments and minor works.

This role requires a high level of knowledge and experience in your discipline allied to demonstrable understanding of current industry standards, Building Regulations, Health and Safety, and CDM regulations. Proven experience with use of industry standard design software including Cymap, NBS, AutoCAD, Revit MEP, and Microsoft Office is desirable.

Key Responsibilities

Part of the Kier Group, KDaBS is an autonomous multi-D consultancy (ranked an impressive 54th Building Magazine's Top 150 Consultants 2021 table) providing services to both our established base of external clients and a growing internal Kier Construction pipeline (where we compete with other consultancies to secure design commissions).

Education projects: This is a significant market opportunity through the Kier Construction business for which we are looking recruit individuals experienced in designing to DfE specifications.
