Breedon are currently seeking to recruit an experienced and self-motivated individual to manage Leaton Quarry near Telford, Shropshire.
As Quarry Manager you will be responsible for the safe and efficient management and operation of a hard stone quarry covering the production of aggregates and asphalt. You will be able to demonstrate a sound knowledge of Fixed and Mobile crushing and asphalt production, ensuring that all plant and equipment are effectively maintained.
Ideally you will hold an QCF level 6 (equivalent NVQ level 4/5) in Health, Safety & Environmental management within the extractives industry. You will possess good leadership skills to promote a positive team working; communicate effectively with other functions within the business, and to be successful, you must be comfortable with a hands-on-role to drive forward our health and safety culture as well as being focussed on the needs of our customers.
