We’re looking for an experienced Construction Project Manager to ensure multiple projects are delivered on time and on budget.
The successful applicant will be responsible for coordinating projects and managing communication across all stakeholders. This is a senior role and requires someone capable of defining and implementing strategy with a strong civils background and experience in general construction and piling. The Project Manager will be responsible for all aspects of the programme deliverables across the range of Red Leaf’s services projects.
The role will also include customer management, internal co-ordination, planning, scheduling, project execution and any other relevant commercial activities in order to deliver a timely, appropriate and profitable project coherent with the Red Leaf Group Business Plan. The role will require travel around the UK to attend sites and overnight stays will be a regular requirement.
Requirements include: Excellent knowledge of construction standards, regulations and legislation, including Health and Safety Excellent, up-to-date, practical knowledge and experience of construction processes Checking and preparing site reports, designs and drawings. Ability to present information in a clear and concise way to senior management, enabling effective decision making Proven experience of managing the contracts and operational performance of the supply chain Able to prioritise workload to meet deadlines Supervising and overseeing the direction of the project, ensuring that the specifications and requirements are met, reviewing progress and monitor costs Working with the Directors to manage the costs on construction projects and help to ensure that the projects are completed within its projected budget and time frame Ensure the quality of work on site is always up to the highest standards Management of sub-contractors and holding to account Control workers timesheets where applicable Compile progress reports for clients Travel between sites (companyvan) Maintaining quality control procedures Assessing and minimising risk Helping to negotiate contracts and securing permits and licences Other duties to be discussed asrequired
Specific responsibilities include: Leadership of programmes throughout the life-cycle from enquiry through to delivery Assume overall responsibility for the project on a real time basis Formulate the Project Forecast and report any slippage Ensure material purchasing is in line with project demands and company cash flow Relationship management with all stakeholders Meeting project milestones, schedules and budget requirements Establishing and reporting performance metrics, KPI’s, monthly reports Meeting internal reporting requirements Conducting customer progress meetings and any associated reports Management of project issues, risks and opportunities Identification and planning of resources needed to support programme deliverables Approval of all internal and customer documentation in line with requirements and Company standards Chair and organisation of project and customer meetings
We are seeking someone who has: Project/Programme Management experience in a construction environment, with specific experience and knowledge of civils and piling works Site Management experience Experience dealing with Senior and sometimes challenging individuals Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Project to control, define and monitor progress against schedules
