Responsibilities
As an Emerging Talent Manager, you'll be working within the Kier Construction HR team, supporting them in, the development, implementation, and management of the Emerging Talent programmes across the Construction business stream. You'll also lead our management and team development offer to support the skills development of our supervisors, managers, leaders and teams to ensure they can be the best they can be.
Your day to day will include:
- You'll be working with HR team and business leaders to design, deliver an emerging talent and development methodology that creates the skills and potentialities we need to meet future skill and growth plans that draws attention and gets amazing talent across the business.
- You'll be working alongside the group emerging talent team to develop and manage construction emerging talent programmes such as, Apprenticeships, Kier degree Apprenticeship, Undergraduate talent programmes, while identifying future programmes as the world of higher education consistently changes while providing different routes into the entry of the construction industry.
- You'll be creating firm relationships tie with internal and external stakeholders, such as the HR teams, senior business leaders and organisations like the Department for Education, National Apprenticeship Service, Education and Skills Funding Agency, professional bodies to improve constructions early careers strategy.
Who are we looking for?
This role of Emerging Talent Manager is great for you if: - You have the ability to persuade stakeholders at all levels across the business and show a wide range of influencing style to obtain buy in to new ideas, Previous experience with supporting businesses on developing and managing Early Careers talent programmes and employability skills initiatives.
- Previous experience in growing and facilitating team expansion, while having sharpness in detail to external trends and developments while being able to use this information alongside corporate understanding to continually develop the offer.
- Experience in being able to spot opportunities (or problems) and use your own creativity, working to tight deadlines and having experience in a demanding environment, while being committed to people's development, values and behaviours that reflects the culture of Kier.
