We're looking for a Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Advisor to join our Highways A417 team based in Gloucester to provide on-site SHE support for Operational teams, to reduce likelihood of Accidents/Incidents, and actively ensure standards are maintained in line with National Highways requirements and Kier minimum standards. You will be responsible for delivering consistent SHE presence on site across the A417, to support operational teams in maintaining required standards. You will also be responsible for carrying out regular site audits and on-site advice and guidance, as well as assisting in performing inductions and supporting SHE Administration. Within this role, you can enjoy a company car or car allowance, 26 days holiday plus bank holiday with the option to buy/sell, fantastic matched pension scheme and even more.

Location: Gloucester - remote working available, with travel to the office.

Contract: Permanent, Fulltime

Salary: £34k - £45k

Responsibilities

As a SHE Advisor, you'll ensure we achieve full compliance against all legal requirements, client requirements and Kier Group SHEA IMS

Your day to day will include:

  • actively promote safety, health and welfare, leading and setting a good example to other employees and stakeholders.
  • work closely with the operational teams in carrying out their roles and SHE responsibilities including assisting developing Risk Assessments and Safe Systems of Work
  • ensure that all SHE reporting requirements are provided accurately and in a timely manner.
  • advise and assist in the identification of health and safety training requirements
Who are we looking for?

This role of SHE Advisor is great for you if have:

  • NEBOSH Certificate
  • Membership of relevant professional institution (e.g. Tech IOSH)
  • Experience working as a SHE Advisor
  • Full driving licence
