An award-winning QSR franchisee company are looking for an Acquisitions Manager to help fulfil their ambitious growth plans. This thriving and dynamic company require an experienced acquisitions manager to ensure growth targets are achieved through the identification and acquisition of sites in a timely manner, on budget and in line with expected sales and ROI, as well as with acceptable deal terms and planning permissions/conditions. They are looking to grow into regions outside of London (having recently opened sites in the Midlands) and you will report to the Development and Operations Director, presenting to him and the MD regularly.

The client is highly flexible, as you will only be in office 1 day per week (London) and 4 days field-based or remote. You must be a self-starter committed to achieving results with a strong customer perspective in your acquisitions strategy. The Acquisitions Manager will:

  • Have a proven track record in acquisitions (and development), preferably in Hospitality and Retail with High Street experience
  • Be a chartered surveyor (MRICS) with 1-2 years post-qualification experience minimum
  • Have experience acquiring existing buildings in particular (as opposed to land)
  • Have Drive-Thru experience (desirable)
  • Have contacts throughout the South and Midlands
  • Be a determined, self-starter with a strategic approach
  • Have strong negotiation and communication skills
  • Have a strong network of contacts in the wider property environment
  • Have a Full UK Driving License

Requirements:

You will:

  • Identify and acquire appropriate sites, optimising site development and site selection processes whilst ensuring best location/best value for all real estate acquisitions.
  • Ensure quality control standards for real estate transactions (cost, deliverability, time, location, economics, market needs, planning and deal quality, etc).
  • Fully research the property market and develop and maintain contact with key agents, developers and local authorities to identify all potential opportunities remaining aware of competitor activity in the market and applying learnings to sourcing sites for the client.
  • To negotiate contracts, ensuring sites secured in line with quality control standards.
  • Utilise Broad Knowledge of Landlord and Tenant, Planning, Property and Contract Law, Procurement, Finance, Construction and the Acquisitions and Development process
