We're looking for a Utilities Senior Project Manager / Development Manager to join our UK Power Network Alliance team based on projects within the Crawley area. Location: working on sites across South London, Crawley and Maidstone - remote working available, with occasional travel to the office required.

Contract: Permanent, Full Time - flexible and part-time hours may be available if desired, just let us know.

Responsibilities

As a Senior Project Manager / Development Manager working within energy-based utilities, you'll report to the Contracts Manager to oversee the work of your team delivering projects ranging from £500k to £10m, such as cable, overhead line and substation infrastructure projects

Your day to day will include:

  • Strong emphasis on stakeholder management with Design, Commercial, Direct Labour, Consents, Sub Programme Teams, Infrastructure Planning, Major Connections, Procurement and Supply Chain.
  • Financial monitoring and control of a portfolio of Asset Management / New Connection contracts, ensuring Health, Safety, Environmental and Quality compliance
  • Making sure projects are programmed in P6, ensuring resources are in place and aligned to meet milestones to deliver the associated investment plan and any regulatory outputs or customer energisation dates
  • Ensure and oversee the production of progress reports, updated costs and forecasts
Who are we looking for?

This role of Senior Project Manager is great for you if you have:

  • A relevant qualification and/or experience in a construction/utilities environment with excellent people and contract management skills, as well as managing design and construction/engineering projestcs
  • Full understanding of current Health & Safety Legislation, including HSWA and CDM Regulations
  • Excellent NEC3 contractual and commercial awareness and target cost contracts including the Early Warning and Compensation Event mechanisms
