What is Crown House Technologies?

Crown House Technologies (CHtM) is Laing O'Rourke's internal off-site manufacturing business unit, managing all the works of steelwork fabrications, pipework fabrications, mechanical and electrical services modules and volumetric products for the wider business. The project co-ordination team are responsible for project management through The Crown House Technologies facility, involving technical review of models supporting the DfMA team, working to a programme to issue drawings to production and ensuring timely delivery of materials to suit production requirements.

The Opportunity:

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced BMS Project Engineer, with previous major Data Centre experience (minimum value of £1m) to be part of the Project Delivery Team.

What are the Key Duties and what experience are we looking for?

Are you able to manage the commissioning of the BEMS system and the interaction with M&E systems?

This includes (but not limited to):

  • Mechanical Systems
  • Air
  • Hydraulic
  • Electrical Systems
  • Energy Monitoring and Metering
  • Lighting
  • Fire
  • Security
  • Smart technologies

You will also:

  • Attend project design meetings
  • Use standard documents to produce Schedule of Deliverables, Interface Matrix, Network Architecture Drawings, Functional Design Specifications, Points Schedules, Technical submittals, RFI's, etc
  • Issue design information to panel manufactures and review panel wiring diagrams for accuracy
  • Create a project interface matrix to manage any interactions with other packages to ensure scope gaps are covered across project specification documentation

Are you able to work in a high pressure and fast-moving environment? And are you able to ensure any project handover documentation is managed to ensure it is ready at handover?

What skills & qualifications are we looking for?

  • Mechanical or Electrical Engineering qualifications (full electrical apprenticeship or equivalent)
  • Proven track record of delivering BEMS systems on Data Centre Projects
  • Exceptional technical knowledge and experience of Niagara N4
  • Experience working with BACNET
  • Ability to understand and adapt system software and graphics
  • Experience with PLC systems preferred but not necessary
  • Ability to communicate at all levels
  • Valid CSCS or ECS site card
