Junior Interior Architect Job in Chelsea, London

New requirement for a Junior Interior Architect job with a long-standing and award-winning interior design practice based in Chelsea, London. The practice is a top 100 House & Garden design firm focused primarily on residential interiors. This position is offered on an initial 12 month contract and is an ideal opportunity for a graduate with approximately a years' industry experience within the residential industry.

Established for over 45 years, our client has a world-renowned sense of style that appeals to both a contemporary and traditional market. With the continued expansion of their client base, a Junior Interior Architect is required and will be involved in a range of high-end residential projects, ranging from 2-bed high-end apartments in London through to 18-bedroom mansions in the USA. Candidates with prior experience in a top 100 House & Garden company are highly desirable for this vacancy. Candidates must be able to present examples of 2D CAD drawings from residential projects they have worked on previously.

Role & Responsibilities

  • Produce technical drawings for both residential and commercial projects
  • Assist with putting together full drawing packages
  • Preparation of tender documents
  • Assist with the production of bespoke joinery detailing and bespoke furniture design
  • Space planning
  • Work with the wider team to create presentation materials and visuals for client meetings
  • General administration and project filing.

Required Skills & Experience

  • A minimum of 1 years' experience with interior space planning and bespoke joinery detailing
  • Proficient AutoCAD user (2D)
  • Working knowledge of InDesign, Photoshop, SketchUp, and Ms Office
  • Knowledge of materials and finishes used in residential interiors.

What you get back

  • Salary up to £26,000
  • 25 days annual leave, plus bank holidays
  • Office hours are 9:30am - 5:30pm, with an hour for lunch
  • Potential to move into a permanent position at the end of the initial 12-month contract.
