Position: Sales Supervisor - Electrical Wholesaler

Location: Cork

Salary: Neg DOE

Our client, one of Ireland's leading Electrical Wholesalers, is currently looking to hire an experienced Sales Supervisor.

This role would suit someone who has not yet managed a team but has proven themselves to take responsibility within a branch/ or team and supported colleagues to be successful and is now looking to take the next step in their career.

This role will involve working closely with the Branch Manager Branch Manager and leading the sales department to achieve the sales and commercial targets for the branch and to steer the business to deliver exceptional customer service.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Coaching sales team, offering advice and guidance to all staff, helping the team to understand how actions and decisions can impact on the business.
  • Ensuing the customer service standards are always met, including ensuring customers at the counter are served in a timely manner.
  • Be able to delegate and give direction, such as when the warehouse is extremely busy, it may be necessary for orders to be picked by colleagues from other departments, giving priority to orders for collections.
  • Ensure that correct procedures and processes are always followed.
  • Discuss the commercial development of the business and any improvements that can be made to gain market share.


Minimum Requirements:

  • Strong people and relationship building skills.
  • Ability to demonstrate a successful track record and show the achievement of financial objectives and targets.
  • Must be financially and commercially aware.
  • Ability to juggle different demands and switch between them as appropriate.
  • A full clean driving licence is essential.
