We're recruiting within our HR Shared Service Centre (HRSSC) and have an exciting opportunity for a Payroll & Reward Operations Manager to join our team. This role is a critical part of our Senior Management Team within the HR Shared Services leading the Payroll and Reward administration services for Kier Group.

Location: Rushden, Northamptonshire with flexible/hybrid working available
Contract: Permanent, full-time - flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know.

Responsibilities

In this Payroll & Reward Operations Manager role, you'll oversee the delivery of an accurate payroll as well as work closely with our Reward Centre of Excellence to deliver reward administration initiatives and ensure our internal / external customers receive the best possible service. You'll continue to review our existing processes and practices to help build a clear roadmap for the future and encourage cross-sharing of expertise to drive capabilities and develop our collaborative approach. You'll also review procedures to enhance greater efficiency and foster a culture of continuous improvement.

This role will involve focus on added value, within leadership, management, governance and change management activities across the centre which feed into our key priorities across the shared services. You'll identify and evaluate solutions to Payroll and Reward issues and ensure changes are fit for purpose. Also, ensuring all our current payroll is fully compliant with Payroll related legislation.

Who are we looking for?

We're looking for previous leadership experience within Payroll & Reward function and having operated within a Shared Service Centre capacity. You'll be degree qualified (or equivalent) with demonstrable experience of complex payrolls (weekly and monthly) and a good understanding of UK payroll legislation and the legal and statutory requirements. You will have an innate ability to lead, manage and influence your team, within a results-driven culture, and execute our vision of operating an exceptional payroll and reward service, which promotes new and innovative ways of working.
