Location: Gloucester, Gloucestershire
Contract: Permanent, Fulltime.
Salary: £35k - £39k + Car + Benefits
Responsibilities
As a Site Engineer, you will be responsible for setting out works constructed within allowable tolerances. Ensuring the workforce understands the setting out information and that it is suitable for the type of work being carried out.
Your day to day will include:
- Regularly checking the setting out points, benchmarks, setting out instruments and measuring equipment
- Provide and maintain setting out and dimensional control to ensure accurate construction of the work
- Assisting in managing systems to record the quality of work completed, testing workmanship and materials
- Provide engineering support to ensure technical problems are overcome and technical queries are answered
- Assist in the preparation of 'as-built drawings'
This role of Site Engineer is great for you if:
- Have or working towards a related HNC/Degree or equivalent
- Experience in structures, drainage and earthworks and proficient in using setting out equipment such as total stations, GPS, automatic level & laser level.
- Competent at using cable avoidance tools and practical working knowledge using CAD
