Construction Managers with Structural Steel and Envelope experience will enjoy working for a Tier 1 contractor in the delivery of a Hyperscale Data Centre project in North West London. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Construction professional to join a leader in the UK Construction market and deliver an exciting and fast paced project, with excellent progression opportunities available for the right candidate.

A well known name in the UK Construction market, this leading organization is a market leader in the European Data Centre construction industry, delivering multiple projects across the UK and EMEA at the moment for Blue-Chip organizations. People regularly get promoted into Project Management roles with this company from this level, making it an exciting opportunity for anyone willing to take the opportunity with both hands.

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Responsible for delivery and quality in line with customer and company expectations
  • Co-ordinate the works of the site team including sub-contractors/trades and external supply chain
  • Implement and maintain quality assurance methods/standards to assure delivery of projects
  • Implement and maintain H, S, Q & E procedures from pre-start to project completion to ensure full compliance with all company HSQE standards, policies, processes, ISO accreditations and legislative requirements
  • Ensure all programmes, plans, method statements and risk assessments are robust, up to date, understood and implemented.
  • Ensure that all site records are kept up to date in line with company and legislative requirements.
  • Develop and maintain close relationships with all appropriate internal and external stakeholders, including customers, sub-contractors and supply chain
  • Manage budgets and financial status with the QS.
  • Identify and escalate any potential issues.
  • To review design and shop drawings, the project programme and contribute where necessary.

Personal Requirements

  • Construction background ideally within fast-paced environments
  • Extensive Construction Management experience in similar organisation
  • Demonstrable sound and extensive construction technical and legislative knowledge
  • Fully conversant with CDM and the ability to understand and produce Part II Health & Safety Plans.
  • In addition to general knowledge of common building and service trade, has greater in-depth knowledge and expertise in some specific areas e.g. joinery, cable wall systems, security
