Groundworks supervisor required for work near Torquay. The working hours will be 7:30am-5pm Monday to Friday with the potential to work weekends during busy periods.

The contractor is a small contractor on a mixed site comprising of both housing and retails units.

They are seeking a time served groundworks supervisor to work alongside the site management team working to deliver a good product . The ideal candidate will have experience of groundworks both as a tradesman and as a manager.

Abilities of a groundworks supervisor Include:

    • Read drawings and communicate works to team
    • organise workers and ensure program of works is adhered to
    • sit in on and contribute to progress meetings with site management team
    • conducting tool box talks
    • ensuring paperwork is completed and organised
    • quality assurance
    • adhering to health and safety policies for yourself and the team
    • site inductions

Requirements for the role

  • SSSTS/ SMSTS
  • CSCS card
  • First aid at work
  • Experience of groundworks
  • Any plant tickets and associated groundwork's tickets such as confined spaces, asbestos awareness etc would be an advantage but not essential.

* A valid UK driving licence

* Own PPE - High vis vest, safety glasses, gloves, dust mask and hard hat can be provided by Daniel Owen
