We're looking for a Quantity Surveyor to join our Highways team based in Edmonton or Staines. This prestigious contract is for TfL, our long-standing relationship means this contract will run until at least 2029 with a view to extend further. Location: Edmonton or Staines, London

Contract: Full time, part time and flexible

Salary: Up to £51k + Pension + Benefits + Car allowance

Responsibilities

As Quantity Surveyor you'll be working within the commercial team, supporting them with the commercial performance of workstreams, managing cashflow and taking jobs from price submission to agreeing final account figures and create relevant detail for monthly CVRs.

Your day to day will include:
  • Responsibility for the provision of estimating, contributing to improving efficiency and profitability and working closely with operations and design teams to ensure accurate and sufficient detail to help achieve project delivery forecasts
  • Proactively input into the development of the business team aiding senior management and project teams to assist in the delivery of business objectives and goals
  • Assessing applications and making payment transactions with sub-contractors and TfL
  • Establishing and maintaining sustainable relationships with both the client and supply chain, claiming value and managing sub-contractor accounts
  • Managing the high-speed network across North London, this maintenance contract is worth circa £20million
Who are we looking for?

This role of Quantity Surveyor is great for you if you can:
  • Show an industry specific degree or equivalent as well as relevant work experience
  • Demonstrate a good understanding of pricing highways / civil engineering works through schedule of rates, and first principle and knowledge of NEC form of contracts, and ability to administer it
  • Analyse budget code financial data, deliver findings and have an awareness of commercial budgets
