Overview;

As Technical Advisor, you will work with one of the leading trade associations, who cover the offshore marine construction industry worldwide. Within this contract position, you will be responsible for providing specialist knowledge of environmental sustainability in order to improve offshore marine environments. The organisation plays an important role in collaborating with stakeholders in addressing the challenges of climate change, and in environmental sustainability, particularly in the context of our ocean resources.

You have the opportunity to join this exciting team who aim to be the global reference for developing all forms of marine energy resources in a low carbon future. As a Technical Advisor you will join a reputable not for profit organisation as interim support, but with the opportunity to take on a permanent role with them in the future.

Role Responsibilities;

  • Delivery of Environmental Sustainability briefings for senior management, stakeholder events, and third-party organisations.
  • Lead workgroups focused on Circular Economy, Environmental Factors and Biodiversity.
  • Influence environmental management and performance improvements to marine environments.
  • Liaise with third party organisations, including MCA members, regulators, clients, professional environmental bodies.
  • Participate in company committees, including attending workgroups, delivering seminars and meetings.

About You;

  • Passion and specialist knowledge of Environmental Sustainability.
  • Ability to drive initiatives forward when communicating with stakeholders.
  • Knowledge of environmental legislation, alternative fuels, and emission reduction strategies.
  • Promote the reduction of carbon emissions within offshore marine environments.
  • A relevant master's degree.
