Contract: Full time

Responsibilities

As Yard Operative, you'll be working within the Maintenance team, supporting them with the day-to-day management of the depot.

Your day to day will include:

  • Accepting and processing deliveries, management of salt deliveries, fuel stocks and distribution, loading of vehicles and skips
  • Keeping an inventory of stock levels, including issuing of materials, PPE etc, administration of pool cars
  • Conducting depot inspections with general cleanliness and tidiness of the depot, championing Kier health & safety protocols and PPE requirements within the depot
  • Monitoring of environmental issues within the depot, undertaking treatment of emergency spillages or salting during working hours
Who are we looking for?

This role of Yard Operative is great for you if you can:

  • Understand and use Microsoft Office to a basic level, includes use of spreadsheets, word documents
  • Display knowledge of health and safety in respect of self, the team, and members of the public
  • Produce a full driving licence with HGV Class 2
