I am working alongside a prestigious school in the Farnborough area who require the appointment of an experienced Estates and Facilities manager
Estates and Facilities Manager Salary:
(£39,447 - £45,750 per annum)
Hours: 37 Hours per week
The Role:
The Estates & Facilities Manager will develop, implement and support the College's Estates Strategy, policies and associated procedures, ensuring that financial and estates management resources are correctly planned and prioritised.
With responsibility for coordinating, managing and delivering all planned and reactive building and maintenance works ensuring works are carried out to appropriate standards and specifications, the Estates & Facilities Manager will shape, lead, and manage the Estates team consisting of two Maintenance Assistants and a Groundsman, who cover a broad range of responsibilities.
Responsible for the assessment, procurement and management of facilities servicing contracts, the Estates & Facilities Manager is required to engage with key stakeholders, ensuring that the best possible facilities are delivered for pupils and staff within budgetary and time constraints. Catering and cleaning services are currently outsourced to external companies.
The Estates & Facilities Manager will lead in the management, monitoring and maintenance of the Health and Safety of the estate in line with statutory and regulatory requirements. The College employs the services of an external Risk Management company to advise and support the College on a range of Health & Safety matters.
Duties and Responsibilities The Estates & Facilities Manager's principal responsibilities are: Resource Management
* Lead and manage the maintenance and grounds staff, ensuring that all members work efficiently and are effectively deployed to cover all College operational requirements.
* Manage the performance of the maintenance and grounds staff and carry out annual staff appraisals and regular team reviews. To identify the development needs of the Estates team and ensure that all necessary compliance / Health & Safety training is carried out and up to date.
