Commercial Manager - Breedon Group

As a Commercial Manager based at Craigenlow Regional Office in the North East Scotland Region, you will be responsible for the sales and commercial activity of our Aggregate, Asphalt and Concrete products.

You're not someone who shies away from challenge; you can think quickly on your feet and make timely decisions and work accurately with excellent attention to detail. You will develop and maintain excellent relationships with customers and colleagues across the Region.

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:-

  • Leading area sales and commercial activity
  • Engaging area teams to ensure commercial strategy and activity is in line with operational capability and business strategy
  • Ensuring maximum value is achieved for our products and services, in line with annual budgets
  • Maximising opportunities for sales growth and value for all product and service groups
  • Creating and developing relationships with Clients, Contractors and Local Authorities
  • Maintaining a full understanding of the market and competitive environment
  • Preparing budgets and monthly sales forecasts and regular / ad hoc sales and market reports
  • Awareness of opportunities and threats arising as a result of changes in the economic environment
  • Providing the highest level of customer service across the business
  • Motivating employees at all levels to ensure the team and individuals maximise their potential
  • Supporting and driving SHEQ performance and culture with internal and external stakeholders as appropriate.

  • The ability to anticipate problems and consider a solution and the ability to negotiate and work collaboratively with colleagues on both a formal and informal level
  • A commercially focused outlook and responds appropriately to improve outcomes and process's and assumes responsibility for own performance by demonstrating drive and initiative
  • Ability to plan, organise and oversee multiple operations
  • Excellent communication skills with an analytical approach and the ability to work accurately at a detailed level
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with a strong team ethic and strong goal orientation with a flexible attitude and be open to change
  • A valid UK Driving License
