We're looking for an Area Operations Manager to join our team. Within this role you can enjoy hybrid working, progression opportunities, the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects of all sizes and complexities, and even more.

Location: Lincoln based with hybrid working and travel to offices/ sites across the region- company car or cash allowance provided

Contract: Permanent, full time- part time/ flexible hours may be available if desired just let us know and we'll do our best to support you

Responsibilities

Kier Utilities brings the built environment to life, keeping people and business connected.

In this role, you will be working on our Anglian Water Alliance, where we work on maintaining, repairing, and upgrading the water network.

As Area Operations Manager, you'll be instrumental in implementing successful delivery through Integrated Operational Solutions (IOS) Water and be responsible for delivering project plan targets in line with business requirements. Driving a delivery and construction team to ensure successful solutions of small to medium projects are developed and constructed safely and successfully.

Your day to day will include:

  • Driving excellent performance of the IOS Water delivery route in terms of people utilisation, programme and cost performance
  • Work with Asset Delivery Planning, Water Quality, Optimisation and Operations to ensure install consistency across the region and people development is driven to provide safely delivered and right first-time projects.
  • Guarantee Construction, Design and Management (CDM) compliance throughout delivery and construction, including regular auditing of sites
  • Develop an active management plan with the management team to generate a culture of visible leadership around project plans, health & safety across the delivery and construction arena
  • Lead in stakeholder engagement and management to ensure that your team drives early communication with all relevant stakeholders in the provision of early risk mitigation and suitable plan development
Who are we looking for?

This role of Area Operations Manager is great for you if:

  • You have demonstrable experience of successful capital scheme delivery in the utility sector and good level of commercial and contractual acumen in line with NEC3
  • You have proven leadership skills to empower high performance in your team
  • APMP or PRINCE 2 project management
  • A Full Driving Licence
