In order to drive improved technical design, product development and project delivery, an ambitious Graduate Project Engineer is required to join a fast paced, highly successful engineering team with a global footprint and a reputation for providing service and product excellence.

With over 20 years industry expertise behind them, our client is one of the largest users of white LEDs in Europe and a pioneer in edge lighting in the production of LED light panels. Having worked across a huge number of iconic projects across 35 countries worldwide, our client counts a number of leading household names amongst their highly prestigious client list.

The successful candidate will be an engineering graduate with experience of working with technical drawing (AutoCAD) in a design based role. Working as part of a supportive, engaging team, the post holder will quickly becoming an important, highly valued member of the organisation whilst continually expanding their skills base. Applications are encouraged from ambitious individuals with experience or academic qualifications gained from within a variety of relevant disciplines including but not limited to, design engineering, civil engineering or product development.

As a result of the nature of the role, there is a requirement to travel throughout the UK as needed.

Key Responsibilities

  • Technical drawings (Auto CAD)
  • Engineering design and component specification
  • Inspection of goods and approval against technical drawings
  • Manage documentation for quality issues/returns/inspection
  • Manage alignment with international standards
  • Create and manage assembly orders
  • Product development, innovation and testing
  • Management of allocated projects
  • Technical support internally and externally
  • On site support for project and sales team - UK and international
  • Regular liaison with our supply chain including resolving quality issues & reporting on performance and improvement plans
  • Product development
  • Management of custom products


Skills & Experience

  • Graduate education with an engineering-based degree
  • Some experience in engineering, ideally in lighting or electronics
  • A curiosity and motivation to learn
  • Microsoft IT competence
  • An ability to work in a team
  • AutoCAD experience
  • Proactive, problem-solving ability, ideally with an understanding of the skills required to project manage successfully
  • Resilient, hardworking and diligent with exceptional attention to detail
  • A full, clean driving licence
