We're looking for a Bridges & Structures Manager to join our Highways team based in Shrewsbury. Location: Shrewsbury, Shropshire

Contract: Full time - Site based

Salary: Up to £46k + Pension + Benefits + Car allowance

Responsibilities

As Bridges & Structures Manager you'll be working within the Capital team, supporting them with the smooth delivery of works covering all aspects of compliance and work delivery, therefore ensuring programmes are created and works are delivered safely, in line with all required compliance, regulations and legalities.

Your day to day will include:
  • Scoping of works / site meetings / early contractor involvement
  • Creation of programmes with daily updating of both routine and capital works programming
  • Ensuring health and safety compliance for all operations, making sure compliance with the Environmental Agency consents as well as local land drainage consents
  • Adhering to and keeping CDM compliance levels high
  • Permitting works, ordering of plant, materials and specialist equipment, dealing with emergencies, attending weekly client and operational meetings
Who are we looking for?

This role of Bridges & Structures Manager is great for you if you can:
  • Lead a team successfully and demonstrate a good understanding of building and construction
  • Review designs (CAD)
  • Operate with CDM regulations
