We're looking for a Section Foreman to join our Alderney team based in Bournemouth, Dorset. Within this role you can enjoy 26 days annual leave, sharesave scheme, family friendly policies and even more.

Responsibilities

As a Section Foreman, you'll be working within the Alderney team, supporting with the supervision and management of a defined unit of site resources to deliver the construction, commissioning, and transfer into the supply of a new Water Treatment Works. As well as ensure site works is undertaken in a safe, timely and cost-efficient manner in accordance with the relevant project plans.

Your day to day will include:

  • You will manage safety on site including giving inductions and effective Toolbox Talks, Daily Task Briefings and Point of Work Risk Assessments to site operatives, as well as supervising site operatives and site activities to ensure tasks carried out are within their levels of skill and expertise.
  • You will organise site equipment, plant, and materials to ensure completion of works and co-ordinate with line managers on managing work methods which are technically sound, safe, economically viable, feasible and consistent and advise them of any items which may impact / change the contract programme.
  • You will monitor the attendance of site operatives and check the daily allocation sheets for accuracy and correct reporting of additional instructed work.
  • You will implement the requirements of work safety plans, method statements, risk assessments and other works procedures ensuring they comply with the relevant documentation.
What do we need from you?

This role of Section Foreman is great for you if:

  • You can show demonstrable knowledge and practical application of the set up and day to day running of a construction site, preferably in Water sector or equivalent setting.
  • You have experience in piling, large diameter pipes, and pre-cast & insitu concrete, along with relevant qualifications (NVQ / CSCS / SSSTS).
