Key Responsibilities
As the MEP Design Manager, you will be responsible for the management of all aspects of the MEP design production, including the technical evaluation during tender phase and production / management of the design programme. You will assist with the production of Scope of Works and works packages, as well as taking ownership for the review of design documentation for contract compliance. The role will involve the co-ordination and integration of the activities of our internal design team and also external design consultants and be responsible for controlling and interrogation of the activities of external design consultants including scope of services, responsibilities, fees, programme and compliance. We will look to you to drive innovative enhancing opportunities for MMC and cost-effective solutions into the design. You will manage, report and forecast design cost, implement rigorous VE, innovation, change control and compliance of designs
What do we need from you?
You will have proven experience in MEP design management and have a sound knowledge and understanding of MEP systems. Ideally, you will have experience working with a leading national or regional contractor across commercial, defence, custodial, healthcare, education or science projects and external MEP design teams.
