Full time, permanent position
This is a hybrid role with 3 out of the 5 days in the office, in Derbyshire close to East Midlands airport. Headquarters. Breedon Group Pinnacle House Breedon Quarry Main Street Breedon on the Hill Derby,
Reporting to the Head of Risk and Controls, the Risk and Controls Manager at Breedon will perform an invaluable role as part of the second-line team in improving the risk and control processes of the Group, working positively with our businesses to identify and manage risks.As someone who inspires trust and confidence with their stakeholders, the role with Breedon will give you the ability to make things happen, with an organisation where you will have the autonomy to genuinely make a material difference.
Breedon is currently listed on AIM and has recently announced plans to move to the Main Market of the London Stock Exchange during 2023. We are the largest independent construction products business in the UK and Ireland, and we are on an ambitious growth journey, which you will be part of, bringing together new ideas that will directly impact on shaping our growth ambition for the future.
The Role
- Own the 'UK SOX' financial control framework including annual assurance process, identification and remediation of deficiencies and action tracking.
- Support the continued evolution of the Group Risk Management Framework and associated risk processes, including implementation of a Risk Management & Compliance tool
- Facilitate the effective delivery of the Internal Audit programme, working closely with our outsourced internal audit function.
- Contributing to Audit & Risk Committee presentations
- Integrate acquired business into the Group risk and control framework and processes.

This is a hybrid role with 3 out of the 5 days in the office, in Derbyshire close to East Midlands airport. Occasional travel is required within GB and Ireland which may include overnight stays on some occasions. Consideration will also be given to part-time applications.
