Catfoss Recruitment Ltd are currently in partnership with an award-winning M&E Consultancy with offices across the country. Due to continued business growth, they are looking to recruit an Electrical Design Engineer to their expanding team in Newcastle.
Our client provides a variety of MEP Design Services at affordable commercial rates with quick efficient turnarounds while maintaining a very high level of quality.
They have vast experience in a range of sectors from small retail refurbishments to large scale multi-million-pound M&E contracts.
Building Services Electrical Design Engineer
* Producing electrical performance/ detailed design layouts, schematics and specifications to detail the electrical building requirements.
* Working in true partnership with a range of contractors, clients and architects.
* Acting as a key point of contact for all electrical matters on your own projects.
* Expanding your client facing skill set.
* Attending CPD and maintaining a good awareness of CIBSE, British Standards and industry standards.
* Developing their own skills with the ambition to progress towards Senior Level.
* Promoting new ideas around low carbon, sustainable and energy efficient building design.
Building Services Electrical Design Engineer - PERSON
The successful candidate will have a passion for Electrical Engineering and the Building Services industry.
Key skills will include:
* Previous Building Services Experience or Electrical knowledge preferably
* Enthusiasm for a career in building design, underpinned through a knowledge and understanding of electrical engineering
* Possess a strong working knowledge of MS Office and demonstrate an ability to learn new software within a working environment that utilises 2D (Autocad) and 3D (Revit) design
* Organised approach to planning work and meeting deadlines
* Seek to improve existing ways of working, by finding efficiencies in processes
* Analytical and problem-solving ability
* The aptitude to work on your own initiative and be proactive
* Ideally have experience on Revit
