We're looking for a Safety Health and Environment (SHE) Manager to join our Highways Major Projects team based in the Midlands to manage and promote Health and Safety for the Major Projects, SDF Framework & KHS business. Location: Midlands - homeworking available, with occasional travel to the office required

Contract: Permanent - Fulltime (flexible and part-time hours available if desired, just let us know)

Salary: £57k


Responsibilities

As a SHE Manager, you'll deliver Keir's strategic goals for SHE and promote Keir's vision and values to all stakeholders and ensure Safety, Health & Wellbeing strategy is both implemented and promoted on the contract.

Your day to day will include:
  • ensuring legal and group compliance for the contract
  • review or produce risk control documents and to assist operations manage risk
  • collate and communicate performance metrics and monthly data.
  • provide SHE focus point on the contract and produce monthly report for contract SMT
  • undertake and participate in external and internal audit and site safety inspection programmes

What are we looking for?

This role of SHE Manager is great for you if have:
  • experience in a similar role
  • diploma or equivalent in Health & Safety CMIOSH
  • environmental qualification at Certificate level
  • lead investigator training
  • working understanding of SHE legislation
  • working knowledge of ISO 14001 & ISO 45001
