Your role will be key to ensuring projects are safely delivered on time, to the highest quality and to budget whilst achieving the highest levels of customer satisfaction.

As our workload is increasing, we are looking to expand the team on the projects we have in Canary Wharf. We are looking for an individual who has a passion for the project at hand, and securing work, whilst also being able to work as part of a closely knit team that has the opportunity to develop and control its own destiny. We understand this approach is essential to ensure we consistently win work and secure repeat business.

Key Responsibilities

As an Assistant Site Manager / Site Supervisor, you will work as part of a high performing team onsite, which will include the Site Manager, Resident Liaison Officer, Banksmen and Labourers and our supply chain delivery partners; you will report to the Site Manager and link in with the wider team of Design Managers and Quantity Surveyors; and using your operational expertise, you'll ensure risks are identified and mitigated whilst co-ordinating subcontractors and suppliers in a planned and controlled manner.

What do we need from you?

The upcoming works have an average value of £4m per project and have a wide range of access solutions and cladding and façade systems - previous experience in these works along with high standards of record keeping is preferable, and previous experience in software such as Fieldview, Snagmaster and Microsoft Project would also be beneficial, although training will be provided.

If you have experience of a similar role within the construction and external refurbishment sector, on similar sized projects, with experience in a Tier 1 / Main Contractor, then this could be the role for you. You should be qualified or certified in SMSTS, CSCS Black card, First Aid, and Asbestos Awareness, and you should also have a proven track record of working within high performing teams, excellent communication, organisational and influencing skills.

As a bonus, you may have good exposure to cladding and façade works, Temporary Works Co-ordinator training, Basic Scaffold Awareness and Fire Manager training. Kier have a robust training plan in place for staff and support will be provided for your development where necessary.
