You now have the opportunity to join this organisation as Project Director (Major Projects) in a remote based role helping to deliver exciting new greenfield gas compression and transmission projects valued at around £20-30mln each.

Managing a team of Project Managers and Senior Project Managers you will…

  • Lead your team to deliver a portfolio of projects to scope, cost, & time, focusing on Safety and Environmental excellence.
  • Engage with internal and external stakeholders ensure the smooth delivery of your portfolio.
  • Provide visible leadership on site ensuring the safe and timely delivery of portfolio.
  • Understand the regulatory regime and how it influences portfolio delivery.


Your typical day will include…

  • Working with your Senior Project Managers to ensure your portfolio is delivered to plan. Managing any escalations and removing blockers.
  • Visiting your construction sites to provide visible SHES and commercial leadership.
  • Engaging your wider internal stakeholders such as Finance, Procurement, Engineering & Operations
  • Engaging external stakeholders such as Designers, Main Works Contractors and Regulators (HSE/EA)
  • Looking at the bigger picture to improve our processes and procedures to improve delivery.


As the successful candidate you will have strong leadership skills, contractual and finance management experience, be able to drive nationwide, possess experience within construction/ utilities, strong knowledge of HS&E and stakeholder management experience.
