We have an exiting opportunity for a Building Services Supervisor to join the Operations team in Donabate within our Ireland business. Building Services is a significant revenue stream for Portakabin Ireland with the potential to expand further by developing a strategic growth plan combined with the rigorous implementation of commercial best practice, product range expansion, effective stock control and the ability to leverage all internal departments to maximise the support provided to this critical business sector. Role Details
  • Salary: €50,000 - €55,000
  • Role based: Donabate
  • Contract type: Permanent
  • Annual leave: 25 day plus bank holidays
Role Responsibilities
  • Translate the strategic plan into Depot based targets for each individual Business Services product and provide a monthly update on individual Depots against plan.
  • Establish contact with the other Business Service champions throughout Portakabin to gain an understanding of what best practice looks like and how that can be implemented into the Irish BU.
  • Ensure the Commercial teams are effectively trained in the techniques to maximise Building Services income.
  • Ensure compliance with the commercial best practice plans by establishing KPI's to monitor performance and provide clarity on the improvements being implemented on a monthly basis.
  • Optimise the investment in Building Services products by matching commercial demand with off hired units that are refurbished to a consistently high standard.
  • Provide direction to the Building Services General operatives - and others in the Operations team - to ensure BS equipment is available in line with commercial demand.
  • Schedule the installation of the Building Services items to ensure that they are installed as per the building installation programme and budget.
  • Maintain accurate fleet records ensuring that the location of all items is known at all times.
  • Schedule service and regular maintenance calls as required.
  • Maximise the support of the Commercial Hire Co-ordinator team to improve the efficiency of quotation preparation.

  • Leaving Cert (or equivalent)
  • Relevant Building Services related qualification or equivalent
  • A Degree in Construction Studies / Project Management is highly desirable.
  • Worked in a related industry eg Space Planning / Interiors / Furniture / Building Services
  • Estimating and costing projects exposure
  • Technical sales experience
  • Proven Team Leadership experience
  • Full Irish Driving License
